Cobra Gold เป็นการฝึกร่วมทางทหาร ระหว่างกองทัพสหรัฐอเมริกา กับประเทศที่เป็นพันธมิตรในทวีปเอเชีย โดยเฉพาะประเทศไทย ซึ่งส่วนใหญ่แล้วจะฝึกทหารเหล่านาวิกโยธิน (Marine) ซึ่งถ้าเป็นของอภิมหาอำนาจอย่างสหรัฐอเมริกา นาวิกโยธินจะเป็นกองทัพนาวิกโยธิน (U.S.Marine) แต่ถ้าประเทศเล็กๆ อย่างของไทยจะขึ้นอยู่กับกองทัพเรือ หน่วยทหารของไทยก็จะอยู่ที่ค่ายทหารนาวิกโยธิน อำเภอสัตหีบ จังหวัดชลบุรี การฝึกนี้มีทุกปี และมีหน่วยทหารจากประเทศสิงคโปร์ เกาหลี มาแจมฝึกด้วย ในภาพนี้เป็นการฝึกดำรงชีวิตในป่า
